Caritas NIYONZIMA has more than 25 years of experience in law with an emphasis on human rights, constitutional law, international private law, labor law, land law and litigation. Mrs. NIYONZIMA founded CN Law, sprl, and developed the practice, in expertise and numbers.
Formerly in the leadership teams of the largest brewery and oil and gas companies of Burundi, she has more than 20 years of experience in advising entities in multitude and diverse commercial and non-commercial transactions in the private sector; more than 15 years in projects and programs’ assessment, conducting field studies of the rights of the Child. Caritas has contributed to the drafting of the Child Protection Code in Burundi. Caritas also has several years of experience as a law professionals’ trainer.
She has embraced several responsibilities in her career such as member of the General Council of Bujumbura Bar, the President of the Burundi Women’s Lawyers Association and Council member of the East Africa Law Society, and the President of the Rotary Club of Bujumbura to name a few.
